Learn to Judge
Judges play a critical role – we need to provide enough judges at competitions, else nobody would be able to have a fantastic time competing!
You don’t have to be a high-level gymnast to judge – anyone can learn! You will be taught everything you need on the course, and we can help you practice at training.
Not only will we support your learning, but we also provide financial support to help you get your qualification. This is a mixture of Coaching and Volunteering Academy funding from EUSU and a contribution from the club. All of these judging courses are completed virtually, so there’s no need to pay for travel or accomodation anywhere.
Club Judge
This is the first judging qualification you should start with. On this course, you’ll learn the basic rules of trampoline competition and how to calculate scores, and you’ll be able to judge routines for horizontal displacement and execution (up to 7.0 difficulty). This will cover you to judge execution and HD at all of our competitions!
The course costs £70, however (upon a successful application to the CVA) the EUSU can cover a third of the cost and the club will cover another third. This means that you will only pay a third of the cost (£23) for a recognised qualification that you can then take anywhere!

County Judge
Once you have your Club Judge qualification, if you want to take this further you can do so with the County Judge qualification. This will teach you the role of a difficulty judge and you’ll be able to a judge difficulty for routines up to 7.0
Similarly, this course also costs £70. Upon a successful application to the CVA, the EUSU can cover a third of the cost and the club will cover another third. This means that you will only pay a third of the cost (£23) for another recognised qualification that you can then take anywhere!

The above courses are for trampoline only, but we can also support DMT judging courses if you’re interested in that!
